The International Gospel Mission is supported by people who feel led by the Lord to give of their time or money in order to keep this ministry and the Lord's work here in Abaco going. God is always faithful to provide, and if you feel the Lord guiding you to be one of those people then please view our list of needs for the International Gospel Mission. Currently our most pressing need is funds to continue to be able to pay the electricity bill each month. The offering that is taken every week is put towards the monthly bills, but rarely does it cover them. Thankfully our water is from a well and not expensive water from the city, because many come daily at all hours to use it, and children come with gallon bottles to fill for their family's needs. However, this requires our electric water pump to be on all the time, resulting in greater electricity costs. Please be in prayer for the finances needed each month!

NEEDS

bullet Children's Clothes - There is a strong belief instilled in Haitian kids here that to attend church, one must be dressed appropriately. Parents and parishioners tell kids not to come barefoot or in sandals, shorts, etc. There is a great need for boy's sneakers, slacks or jeans, polos, girl's dresses, shoes, etc. Donations of ANY types of kid's clothing are always appreciated.
bullet Christian Films - We would like to show videos or DVD's about missionaries, martyrs, and various other movies for young people or adults that show the way to become saved. 30 minutes to 1 and 1/2 hours would be preferable.
bullet Creole & Spanish Bibles - The language of the Haitians is Creole and there is a great need for these to distribute within the communities and at church. Also because of the many Cubans coming to our country, we can give to them and they can also take to their families. Any quantity would be welcomed.
bullet Repairs - The buildings are in need of a few repairs and replacements of shower curtains, toilet seats, faucets, etc.
bullet NKJV Bibles - The youth here are fluent in both English and Creole, but many cannot read or write Creole. Some from Haiti have trouble with English. We have found that the NKJV is very well received for those who have problems with reading English. This is an excellent translation for these young people.
bullet Gospel Tracts - For distribution to people on Abaco - from Haitians and Bahamians to tourists and visitors to the island. Preferable topics are godly living and how to be saved. Often churches ask us for donations of tracts.
bullet School Supplies - Recently, someone donated a few school supplies that were intended for children who attended Sunday school. Word got out and hundreds of kids showed up which unfortunately had to be turned away. Backpacks, rulers, pens, pencils, dictionaries, protractor sets, folders, crayons, etc, could all be donated for times when needs arise.

THE GREATEST NEED BY FAR IS LABOURERS WHO ARE WILLING TO GIVE OF THEIR TIME AND THEMSELVES TO ASSIST WITH DISTRIBUTION OF ANY DONATIONS, WITNESS, AND HELP IN WHATEVER WAYS THEY CAN!
